In February 2015 I received an email from a fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator who wanted to interview me at first I was shocked, and excited but of course could not say no. I was interviewed for a newsletter that is for all the demonstrators in Canada!! Which is such an honor and here what the article turned out to be. It truly is very humbling having an article wrote about you! I want to say a huge thanks to Laurie LaRose for making me sound so wonderful and I am so glad I got to meet her; I know she will be a lifelong friend and Stampin’ Up! Sister!

Talking with this young woman, you can feel the energy of a person with a purpose and a reason for doing more.
Ann Winegardner loves scrapbooking and loves the way Stampin’ Up! has everything coordinated to work together. She loves that she doesn’t have to worry about matching correct shades of colours; that she can just create.
She is 28, single and just started out as a demonstrator six months ago. She had signed up as a demonstrator twice before and it seems like this third time is the charm! It looks like timing and the support of her upline are making her hopes for making this a business, into a reality. She gives credit to Krista Frattin for being a wonderful upline, providing her with guidance and motivation in achieving every level of the Stampin! Start programme. In addition, she has earned a $250 bonus for achieving the title of Consultant (Bronze Elite) and having a downline promote to the next title. She has just promoted again to Senior Consultant (Sliver)!
She is very passionate and believes stamping is amazing therapy and that everyone should do it! Her achievements don’t just fall in her lap
though; she needs to work smart to make it happen around her full-
time job at a non-profit organization in membership services. She also has health issues that require her to take bed rest and keep her legs elevated.
She has a giving spirit, sending cards to the troops overseas and veterans in senior’s homes and hospitals in Red Deer, Alberta. She has been collecting cards for several years now, having collected nearly 1000 Christmas and Valentine cards.
If you are interested in sending her cards to send away, please contact her at inkitup@shaw.ca for more details and a mailing address. Unlike many card call outs, these cards should have your ‘made by you’ stamp on the back and signed on the inside, with multiple signatures, if possible. Maybe during a class you could have several ladies sign the cards. She has her mom and grandmother sit down together to sign cards, using her first name and then in another area her middle name, just to add more names. She says this seems to have the biggest impact for those in the senior’s homes and hospitals. It’s a good place for our samples and extra kits to go
for next year’s holidays. She collects them all year.
When I asked her about other hobbies aside from scrapbooking and card making, she said knitting. She loves to knit and has all her life. She makes baby blankets and scarves mostly. She recently finished a baby blanket for a little cousin. She loves colour and uses numerous colours in her projects. She says she loves to surround herself with wonderful bright colours and her room has 5 different, cheerful colours; a different one on each wall and the ceiling, too!
She also loves baking, almost too much, as her mother would complain when she was a teenager, easily making ten dozen cookies a day. Nowadays, her co-workers benefit from her hobby as she shares her baked goods with them.
Her favourite cookie is shortbread and she’s trying different flavours and recipes all the time. One recent recipe was a Lemon Pepper Shortbread that she really liked. She also likes to experiment with our cookie stamps and various recipes. She has used the cookie stamps to stamp fondant to decorate sugar cookies.
With her ease of trying new things and all the great, innovative things Stampin’ Up! has available, there are unlimited, creative possibilities and business opportunities for Ann.
